SUPERVISION & CONSULTATION

Thoughtful therapists.Strong clinical work.A place to keep growing.

At Brick City Therapy, we believe becoming a great therapist is an ongoing process. There is always more to learn, more to notice, and more to understand—not just about our clients, but about ourselves and the way we show up in the room.

Part of the culture at Brick City Therapy is knowing that we don’t have to have all the answers. What matters is bringing curiosity, thoughtfulness, and a willingness to look more closely. We encourage our clinicians to stay curious about their clients, while also developing the ability to turn that same curiosity inward—to notice their own patterns, assumptions, reactions, and clinical instincts. When the work gets complicated, we will help you untangle it.

We are committed to developing thoughtful, self-reflective, and skilled therapists at every stage of their careers. Whether you’re just starting out, returning to clinical work, stepping into a new area of practice, or you’ve been doing this work for years and want a place to keep growing—we welcome you here.

You don’t have to know everything. You just have to stay curious.

Clinical Consultation for Licensed Therapists

Clinical consultation is a space to step outside of the therapy room and think with someone who understands the complexity of the work.

Sometimes you need ongoing consultation or have one case that has you completely stumped. Or you might be learning a new modality and want another clinician to help you integrate it into your existing practice.

All of those reasons are welcome here.

Consultation with Sarah Nunes, LCSW

Sarah Nunes, LCSW is the Founder and Practice Owner of Brick City Therapy, a Certified EMDR Therapist, and an EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training.

Her clinical work spans multiple systems levels, and is attuned to complexity, trauma, attachment, relationships, and the ways our histories show up between people—not just inside of them.

Sarah’s consultation style is collaborative, curious, and grounded in the belief that good consultation isn’t about telling you what to do. It’s about helping you think more clearly about what is happening, why it may be happening, and what options you have.

Whether you are looking for ongoing support, occasional consultation, or help thinking through a particularly complex case, Sarah offers a space to slow down, get curious, and find your way forward.

Areas of Consultation
Explore the patterns happening between people—not just the symptoms happening within an individual. Consultation can support therapists working with attachment injuries, relational conflict, intimacy, family-of-origin dynamics, couples, and complex interpersonal patterns.
Support for cases where trauma is layered, longstanding, relational, or showing up in ways that don’t fit neatly into a single diagnosis or treatment plan.
Consultation for clinicians developing their EMDR practice, refining their EMDR process, or working through complex cases. Sarah can help you think through case conceptualization, AIP, target sequencing, preparation, resourcing, processing, stuck points, and clinical decision-making.
A thoughtful, relational approach to working with substance use and other addictive patterns. Consultation may include harm reduction, attachment, relational addiction, shame, and the function that addictive behaviors serve within a client’s larger system.
Support integrating parts-oriented and somatic perspectives into your existing clinical work. We can explore what is happening beneath the presenting problem and how clients’ bodies, protective strategies, and internal systems may be communicating important information.
