the TEAM

Claire Marino
Hi I’m Claire, I enjoy work with high-achieving individuals, college aged students, and neurodiverse folks struggling with perfectionism. You might know what the feeling is but aren’t entirely sure what to do with it. My work is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic approaches, and attachment-based approaches.
I am interested in helping you understand how your emotions, relationships, thoughts, and nervous systems interact, while cultivating greater self-compassion, curious, and connection. I believe that insight is important, but lasting change often comes from gently engaging with our experiences in new ways and learning to trust ourselves more deeply.
Before beginning my clinical training, I spent several years engaged in conducting trauma research at the University of Rochester, studying the neurobiology of post-traumatic stress. I worked closely with adults who experienced trauma, administered clinical assessments, and helped investigate how trauma impacts the brain, body, and sense of safety. This experience deepened my appreciation for the complexity of healing and continues to inform my commitment to providing care that is both evidence-based and compassionate.
I strive to create a therapeutic space that feels gentle, supportive, and where you feel emotionally held to do deeper work to explore vulnerability, build self-trust, and move toward ways of being that feel more authentic, connected, and aligned with the life you want to live.
I am a Mental Health Counselor-Limited Permit under supervision at Brick City Therapy working toward licensure, LMHC in the state of New York. I look forward to sitting with you and helping you find healing and growth in your life that you deserve.
You don’t have to hold it all together.
