INDIVIDUAL therapy

For when you know something needs to change, but you aren’t quite sure how.

You may understand where your patterns come from and still find yourself repeating them. You may be successful in your career while feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in your relationships. You may carry experiences from your past that still show up in your body, your relationships, or the way you see yourself.

Or maybe nothing is particularly “wrong,” but you know you want something to feel different.

At Brick City Therapy, we make space to look beneath the surface. Together, we’ll explore the experiences, relationships, and patterns that shaped how you move—and begin creating new ways of relating to yourself and the people around you.

We’re Wired For Connection

The way we relate to ourselves, other people, and our past shapes how we move through the world. That’s why we don’t treat symptoms in isolation. We look at the whole picture—your relationships, history, patterns, protective strategies, and the life you’re trying to build.

“Home isn’t where your story began. It’s where you’re finally free to live it.”

Let’s Look at What’s Really Going On

We aren’t interested in simply helping you manage symptoms while leaving deeper patterns untouched.

If you’re struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, burnout, emotional overwhelm, boundaries, self-worth, or feeling disconnected from yourself, we want to understand why.

What has your system learned?

Where did this pattern begin?

What happens when you get close to someone?

What parts of you are working really hard to keep you safe?

And perhaps most importantly: What would it look like if you didn’t have to keep living this way?

Seeing the Whole Picture

Our clinicians take a relational and trauma-informed approach, paying attention to your history, your nervous system, and the patterns that shape how you experience yourself and your relationships.

Depending on what you need, therapy may include approaches such as:

  • EMDR and trauma-focused therapy
  • Attachment-based therapy
  • Somatic and nervous system-focused work
  • Parts work and Internal Family Systems
  • Relational and psychodynamic therapy
  • Mindfulness and body-based practices
  • Emotion-focused approaches
  • Systems-oriented work

We don’t believe you need to fit into a particular therapeutic model.

Your therapist should be able to meet you where you are.

What therapy With Us Can Look Like

There isn’t a formula for therapy. Some sessions might mean slowing down and making sense of something that happened years ago. Other times, we might be talking about what happened yesterday—or what’s happening right now between us.

Sometimes we’ll talk. Sometimes we’ll pay attention to what’s happening in your body. Sometimes we’ll notice a pattern as it shows up right there in the room.

We’ll celebrate what’s changing. We’ll be honest when something isn’t working. We’ll get curious about the places where you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in the same patterns.

Most importantly, we’ll work together to help you understand yourself in a way that goes beyond simply knowing why you are the way you are. The goal is to help you experience yourself, your relationships, and your life differently.

Who We Work With

You don’t need to fit neatly into a box to belong here. Our therapists work with adults who are navigating experiences, including:

When the past continues to show up in the present.
When you keep finding yourself in the same relational patterns or struggle with trust, intimacy, conflict, or connection.
When being successful has become exhausting, and slowing down feels harder than pushing through.
When your mind won’t shut off, your body feels constantly activated, or you’re tired of managing everything.
When you’re questioning who you are, what you want, or what comes next.
When taking care of yourself feels unfamiliar, uncomfortable, or even selfish.

When you need help understanding your emotions, relationships, thoughts, and how your nervous systems responds.

You Don’t have to Be in Crisis to Come to Therapy

Therapy doesn’t have to be something you do only when everything falls apart.
You can come because you’re tired of repeating the same patterns.

  • Because your relationships aren’t feeling the way you want them to.
  • Because you’ve accomplished a lot but still don’t feel fulfilled.
  • Because you’re ready to understand yourself differently.
  • Because parts of you want to do deeper work.

You don’t have to wait until things get worse to start paying attention.
